Give for children's education in Rwanda.

The best way to end poverty is through education.

Rwanda Education Fund

In Rwanda education is free, but children must have a uniform, and the proper school supplies, otherwise they will not be allowed to attend. Please help children with the items they need to get an education. Suggested donation: $30/month. If this amount is not in your budget, please give whatever you can.

In Rwanda education is free, but children must have a uniform, and the proper school supplies, otherwise they will not be allowed to attend. Children in this region usually eat only one meal a day. Their parents work small plots of land for basic survival.

Children do not have access to books or computers. The only books they see are when they are at school. If children complete school, they can have a bright future, otherwise they will subsist as their parents have for generations.

Alexis Hakizimana (photo above) started an education program because he attended a village school like the children that surround him in this photo. Getting an education motivated him to escape the poverty of his youth. He now holds a nursing degree from the University of Rwanda and a BA in agriculture from the U. of Nebraska. Alexis began to identify children who couldn’t go to school because they lacked school supplies and he started helping the most needy attend school. He is their role model.

Coming soon! In addition to giving for the support of all the children in the Rwanda Education Program, soon you will be able to sponsor an individual child’s education. Stay tuned!
