Sponsor a child or sponsor a home

What does sponsorship mean?

For just $25 per month, you can sponsor a child in one of the homes that WCI supports.

When you sponsor a child, you provide meals, clothing, shelter, medical care and an education for a child in desperate need.

The children in our homes come from difficult backgrounds and they each need the emotional encouragement that comes from knowing someone cares about them personally. We will assign you a child  and send you a sponsorship welcome packet that contains information about “your” child including their history, a photograph, birth date, and a letter from the orphanage administrator telling you about the child.

Twice a year the child will write you a letter telling you about herself or himself. Our sponsors send and receive letters, photos and birthday greetings with the children they sponsor. Their children call them “Uncle” and “Auntie.”

Some children can speak and write English and some do not. For those who do not, they will write in their native language and the orphanage administrator will translate on the back of the child’s letter.

We send $20 of your monthly sponsorship overseas. For more information, please read more. If you are ready to begin your sponsorship, you can sponsor a child now.

Sponsor a home

Donors who do not wish to have a personal connection with one child are encouraged to contribute toward the welfare of all the children in one or more of our homes or to help with the special needs that many of the homes have. Sponsor a home now.
